Importing Your CSV

Click Choose File at the top of the app and select your bank CSV. The app supports 4‑column and 5‑column formats. If your CSV includes an envelope column, the app automatically strips it and keeps the first four columns.

Your CSV is saved locally so you can refresh the page without losing your data.

Categorizing Transactions

Each transaction includes a dropdown where you can select an envelope category. Your selections are saved automatically in your browser using local storage.

Changing a category instantly updates all monthly views.

Envelope Budgeting

Envelopes let you organize your spending into meaningful groups such as Groceries, Rent, Gas, Entertainment, and more. You can adjust envelopes anytime by selecting a different category from the dropdown.

You can also add new envelopes or delete ones you no longer use. All envelope data is stored locally for privacy and persistence.

Monthly Views

The app includes several monthly views:

• Expenses By Month — total spending per month
• Monthly Summary — income, expenses, and envelope totals
• Envelope Breakdown — envelope totals per month

These views update instantly whenever you change an envelope.

Exporting Your Categorized CSV

Click Export Categorized CSV to download a new CSV containing your envelope selections. This file includes Type, Date, Description, Amount, and Envelope.

You can use this exported CSV in spreadsheets, tax preparation, or long‑term tracking.

Price Comparison Tool

Compare store prices, track savings, and find the best deals. Editable store names, persistent data, and a clean layout make weekly shopping easier.
